HS Advanced Placement (AP)

Students are encouraged to take a rigorous course load of AP classes and we believe in AP for all. On average we have approximately 30 AP exams administered each year. We had 5 AP Scholar Honors and 15 students scoring a 3, 4, or 5 on their AP exam in 2011-2012.    AP courses are offered in English language, English Literature, U.S. History, Government (United States and  Comparative), Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art History, Economics, AP Calculus, and Psychology. AP English Language is offered in 10th grade. AP is an open enrollment program, following the methodology of AP for all.    Pre-AP classes are offered in English and Math through the College Board Spring Board program starting in 6th grade.
