Iman Academy high school students visited the University of Houston this Fall. They were able to explore the various majors and degrees offered by the institution. They toured the campus from the Business school to the College of Optometry. They were able to enjoy learning about the exciting opportunities available to this Tier One university as well as interact with and experience campus life at the University Center.

Iman Academy students and staff visited the Houston Food Bank to help sort and package food for the needy. Iman Academy aims to make events like this one a tradition among our students, by instilling in them values of volunteerism that inspire them to become contributing citizens and community builders long after graduation.

Iman Academy Southwest Middle School participated in an Urban Food Sustainability Farm Practices project in the second ward community. The students utilized a small space to make a big impact, by making agriculture more accessible and by engaging people in the ways they think about food.

Students and staff of Iman Academy SW and SE participated in the MLK Day Parade on 01/21/2019. Both schools joined forces at the parade in midtown Houston, to appreciate the legacy of Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement. The march allowed for students to celebrate both unity and inclusiveness. Students opted to attend the March despite their day off of school.
